David Harder

President and Founder

David is a licensed and insured Certified General Contractor with more than 19 years experience at all levels of project management and project development for residential and commercial construction. He founded Adanac in 2002. He has produced more than 175 units of affordable housing in the Miami area. Prior tp moving to Miami, David was a GC in Winnipeg, Canada. His real estate accomplishments have involved new construction, remodeling and rehab work on houses, apartments, offices and retail space as well as condominium conversions, working in partnership with various Community Development Corporations, nonprofit community organizations and small companies. Adanac develops and builds between 50 and 75 units of affordable housing a year.

David has received his LEED Accredited Professional certification from the US Green Building Council and will soon be a Certifying Agent and energy rater for the Florida Green Building Coalition.

In addition to his construction and development expertise, David is a well-respected consultant and trainer with a national reputation. He has designed a specialized technology-based training entitled Managing the Construction Production Process. This three-day workshop focuses on the management skills necessary for successful building projects. He is the co-creator of another three-day workshop, Delivering a Project On Budget, On Time, On Quality, which teaches the basics of construction oversight and project management.

David also helped develop two six-day training courses used in the field of housing and community based organizations. The first, Project Development Introduction, introduces the basics of organizational development and affordable housing to emerging and potential Community Housing Development Organizations. The second, Building Bankable Deals, instructs how to structure and develop affordable housing projects for sale and rental properties.

David manages NHS Housing Development LLC, a joint venture between Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida and Adanac Development and Construction Services, Inc., providing affordable housing development in Miami-Dade County. The strength of the LLC lies in the in-depth experience both organizations bring to the partnership. Adanac has the development and construction expertise needed and NHSSF has the best system in place to prepare and make available mortgage ready buyers to any units the LLC develops.
